Gildan Included In the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Fifth Consecutive Year
September 15, 2017 – Gildan Activewear Inc. (GIL: TSX and NYSE), has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World Index) for the fifth consecutive year and the DJSI North American Index for the second consecutive year. Gildan remains the only North American company in the Textiles, Apparel and Luxury Goods industry group listed in the DJSI World Index.

Gildan releases its 2016 Corporate Social and Environmental Report
July 4, 2017 – Gildan Activewear has released its 2016 Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility Report (CSR), in which the company demonstrated good progress in 2016 towards its 2020 environmental goals which call for a 10% reduction in energy, water, Green House Gas (GHG) emissions and landfill waste intensity, per kg of product, from owned operations, when compared to the 2015 baseline year.
